This is a 101 shot cloud smear effect from a 2096 shot timelapse I did this afternoon for the partial solar eclipse
Storm shot from this afternoon
My interpretation for a Facebook challenge – Dreamworld. The foggy sunrise this morning
I got this iridescent cloud this afternoon heading to town. In the very near future, I’m going to change up my photography a bit. I’m going to do composite stuff to see how well my creativity is and how well my Photoshop skills are.
Sunset this evening while getting devoured by mosquitoes. I had to quit sooner than I wanted to because of the mosquitoes but I did get a few shots.
We had an unexpected storm front come through this afternoon. I was able to get a timelapse of it which is below. The above shot is of the most severe stuff. The only editing I did on this was to crop it to 16:9 for the timelapse.
Here is the timelapse from this afternoon -
Early this morning, we got to see a light show as storms came rolling through the area. From our position, this was the best view we could get. Every bit of the lightning was in the clouds. This picture is two shots merged together. It was a fabulous light show. If it hadn’t started raining, I would have gotten a bunch more shots.
This picture is all 115 storm shots merged together. I used the same action in Photoshop that I use to make the cloud smear effect, which also creates my star trails. For this, I did a bit of editing in Lightroom, ran the action and no real editing in Photoshop. I did have to edit some hot pixels but it wasn’t too bad. It’s an early Friday picture of the day post.
This is a panorama of the sun casting what I call a sunbow (I’m not sure what the correct terminology is is there is any). The cloud was casting a shadow and the sun bowed over it. I’ve never seen this before. This shot was edited in Lightroom and a detail enhancer action ran in Photoshop. This is one of the neatest sunsets I’ve ever shot.
There were storms popping on and off all day today. This one was north of town and was pretty epic. I tried to get a panorama but it didn’t come out well. We are suppose to be getting a cold front coming through Thursday night/Friday morning. I’m hoping to get some lightning shots. It’s been too long since I was able to get any.
This evening on the way to get some groceries at Walmart, I noticed the sun going down behind the clouds. I stopped in the parking lot and grabbed a few shots. I thought it was really cool how the sunrays were shooting out from the clouds.
